I’ve been away from the blog for a long time. Months, to be exact. Do I have a good excuse? Not really. But I have a simple one: I needed a break. Over the last year or so, my life has gotten busier. A lot busier. I spun more and more plates, and eventually, I got tired. But now, after some time off, I’m back to a new normal and ready to go.

This time last year I was finally diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease after more than a year of illness and tests. It’s taken another year since my diagnosis to find a treatment that works. I started Stelara injections to supplement my methotrexate in January, and now, some months later, I finally feel like everything is under control.

I also moved to a new house and started a new (hopefully) career. Well, expanded a current one, I guess. I finally became a fiction author with the publication of my first novel The Seeds of Winter. My toddler is growing like a proverbial weed, and I have a number of other projects lined up on the horizon.

So how am I going to avoid getting burnt out this time around? Truthfully, I’m probably not. But I’m going to do my best to try. I’ll be writing fewer posts, but I’ll definitely be keeping them coming. I’m also planning to slow down a bit in other areas, but as those of you with toddlers and/or your own businesses know, that’s not the way life usually happens. And I wouldn’t have it any other way, to be honest.

So thank you, for keeping with me. When I started this blog, I did so with the intention of helping people in situations similar to mine. And in turn, all the support and feedback you’ve given me over the last few months has made it much easier for me to replenish myself; it’s much easier to find your way back when you know someone is waiting there for you with open arms.

I’ll be looking at a variety of topics over the coming months, but if there is anything you’d like me to touch on in particular, please let me know! Just message me on the contact page, here.

I’ll see you soon 🙂 ♥
